My Experience at Divine Nail Studio in Bangalore
I went to Divine Nail Studio in St Marks Road some time back. This branch of Divine Nail Salon is located in the basement level on the busy St Marks Road in Bangalore. Let me start by saying that it’s a spacious and beautifully done up salon. The interiors are quite tastefully done. But before I start talking on my experience of getting nails done at Divine, lets start with a li’l information on gel and acrylic, in case you are confused between these two.
What are gel nail extensions and acrylic nail extensions and the difference between these two?
Gel nail extensions is a process that involves hard gel built on a natural nail and cured with UV light. An artificial nail is glued to your natural nail to add length. The gel nail polish is then painted over the entire nail surface and cured under a UV lamp.
Acrylic nail extensions are created using a liquid base. A powder polymer is mixed with a liquid to create a gel that is brushed on to form a layer on your nail. The gel hardens when it is exposed to air so you need not to cure this type of manicure under a UV lamp. The gel is applied to either your own nail or a fake nail for added length.
And, be it gel nails or acrylic nails, it will take a good amount of time, so go for extensions when you have plenty of time at hand.
Nail Extensions process at Divine Nail Studio
Upon reaching the nail salon, the nail experts asked me about the type of nail extensions and shape I would love to go for? I told them I would love to go for square shaped gel nails.
Let me tell you the step by step process of gel nails application at Divine Nail Studio.
- The salon staff first started by preparing my natural nails by using a very gentle buffer.
- Then they pushed the cuticles back and filed my nails.
- Then the nails were wiped with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to remove all the traces of creams, or nail paint.
- Next, a coat of a clear gel base was applied over each nail with 30 seconds of drying time under a UV Light in between.
- Once again a second coat is applied and then allowed to dry again for 30 seconds. They used LED or UV light exposure to set them effectively.
- After this process, they asked me which nail paint I would like to go for? I choose red. So, they applied two coats of a red gel nail paint on my nails. After that, the same UV box procedure was done after each coat.’
And that’s it! I am ready to flaunt my new nails. It took about one and half hours to get the nail extensions done and it was worth it.
Time Taken in the entire process
The whole procedure took approx one and half hour to complete with the help of two staffs who worked simultaneously on my both hands. One thing I would like to say is in my opinion, Gel nail extensions are good as compared to acrylics as they appear more natural. Also, these are odourless and are extremely lightweight and cause the least amount of discomfort. Hence, Gel extensions are indeed the most popular and loved ways to get longer and stronger nails nowadays.
Do I recommend Divine Nail Studio?
Yes, a Big big yes! My hands looked pretty and nails looked immaculate. I just can’t stopped looking on my hands. My gel nails lasted for approx 4 weeks which is pretty amazing. I am definitely going to do it again from Divine Nail Studio as they are best in the town.
Overall, I must confess that getting nail extensions done at Divine is actually worth your money. I was extremely satisfied with the services. I must say the staffs at Divine nail studio are adept in their job. And definitely love the fine job they did with my extensions. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and courteous which was icing on the cake. I personally like to get my nails done at Divine studio only as their staff is very well trained and they do the extensions with care without damaging the natural nails of mine. The fact that their extensions done by them easily stay for one month is again a great thing.
