I am Barbie girl in the Barbie world….Life in plastic is fantastic ! Well all of us are pretty much familiar with this song right! Well guys, a new movie has released and everyone’s is thinking – After such big scale promotions, is this movie actually worth it? To say the least, this New Barbie movie is a thorough entertaining, whimsical and an empowering adventurous one for people of all age groups.
Plot: Barbie suffers a crisis that leads her to question her world and her existence.
In Greta Gerwig’s latest directorial venture, “Barbie” the filmmaker decipher the mystery – Barbie, the iconic doll that has been loved and fascinated by the people for decades. The movie brings to life the beloved doll in a delightful and empowering animated adventure that will surely be loved by the audience. The film shows Barbie’s timeless charm with a beautiful tale which is entertaining as well as inspiring too.
From the starting, you will be mesmerised by this visually stunning movie filled with colourful, pink, neons and animated scenes, incredible costumes and pop style. Barbie world is beautifully realised with colourful pink settings and breathtaking landscapes. Heart of the movie is of course, Margot Robbie who played the iconic character of Barbie and quite actually nailed it. Barbie is portrayed as a stylish young as well as fashion forward character who is intelligent, kind and fiercely independent individual too.
Undoubtedly Margot Robbie is phenomenal as Barbie, but it is Ryan Gosling’s Ken that steals the show. He goes on his own journey of self discovery in Barbie, as he tries to learn who he is. He might stumble along the way, but ultimately he figures himself out. Ryan has indeed poured his heart and soul into this role. He does a great job with the emotional beats, while still pulling off the weird role at times.
Both Margot and Ryan are really mesmerising in their roles. The quirks between Barbie & Ken are just magic together on screen.
The movie showcases Barbie’s thrilling journey as she take off on an adventurous pursuit to save her kingdom from an impending disaster. Overall, Barbie is a great movie to watch. This film is a feast for all Barbie lovers. It’s an out and about Margot Robbie movie and as expected, she dominated the film. Ken is way too good. I must say the casting is indeed spot on. The chemistry between Margot and Ryan is spectacular, radiating an irresistible charm which captures your heart.
I definitely recommend you to watch this heart warming and entertaining movie filled with valuable life lessons. The film is full of humour with some brilliantly funny scenes. This movie strikes the perfect balance between entertaining young and adult people alike. This one movie is definitely going to be loved by the kids as well as parents. Soundtrack is amazing too. Trust me, after seeing Margot as Barbie in this movie, you will never be able to imagine anyone else doing this role.
